SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
Providing a Quality Catholic Education
The Senior High School Department of Colegio San Agustin – Biñan is a venue where learning is best achieved by effectively applying academic competencies and manifesting Augustinian core values. The academic program was designed to better prepare the students for their seamless transition to colleges and universities. As has been proposed by DepEd, the course offerings for the Senior High School must be tailored-fit to the needs and situations of every school's client. Therefore, based on the studies conducted by the different sectors of this educative community, the Senior High School Program of Colegio San Agustin-Biñan would focus on the following tracks and strands.
Building and Strengthening Education and Career Paths
Augustinian graduates will be well-prepared to pursue various paths, including further education, employment, or entrepreneurship. In addition, each graduate will possess critical skills, including information, media and technology, learning and innovation, effective communication, and life and career skills.
In the senior high school department, handling client needs and providing services typically involves addressing the needs of students, parents, and other stakeholders. One way to achieve this is through effective communication. The department maintains an open line of communication and sees to it that regular updates and timely responses to inquiries and concerns are provided.
The department also creates a strong student community allowing them to greatly involve in various curricular and extra-curricular activities with the aim of their holistic development. Varied activities including religious and strand-based organizations, arts, cultural events, sports, and community service initiatives, foster their personal growth and social interaction.
There is also strong support from the Guidance and Testing Office which sincerely assists and guides the students in their career exploration and decision-making. The guidance counselors can provide one-on-one support to help students identify their interests, aptitudes, and goals, and guide them in making informed choices for their future.
Lastly, the SHS department recognizes the significance of parental involvement in their children’s education thus several activities were conducted to help them be informed and involved in their child’s educational journey, such activities include quarterly parent-teacher conferences, regular updates on the student progress and school policies, and upcoming events.
The senior high school department strives to create a supportive and engaging environment that meets the educational, personal, and career needs of students, while also fostering strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders.
